“What are you doing here, Ivan?” The elder brothers asked him.
Ivan Tsarevish shrugged. “I was tired waiting for you. I decided to look for mother too. So send your armies away and let us all go and look for mother.”
The two princes - Pyotr Tsarevich and Vassili Tsarevich sent their armies back.
The three princes then rode on and followed the ball.
They had traveled a good distance when they saw huge mountains. The mountains were so large that they touched the very sky.
The ball rolled into one of the caves in the mountain.
Ivan Tsarevich got off his horse and nodded at his brothers. “I will go inside the cave and climb up the mountain and look for mother. Wait for me for three months.” The two brothers were surprised as Ivan continued. “There is no use in waiting longer than three months for me.”
The two elder brothers were not entirely sure how Ivan could climb such a high mountain.
They were sure that anyone who climbed these mountains would break their head. So they accepted Ivan’s requests. “We will wait for you here.”
Inside the cave, Ivan saw a door made of iron. Ivan hit the door with all his power and the door opened.
When he entered the door, iron claws entered his hands and feet by themselves.
He started climbing the mountain with the claws.
He climbed up the mountain for a month.
