Adityasarma went in search of an ascetic named Vishnu Gupta. From Vishnu Gupta, Adityasarma learned about the proper way to perform the Sulochana mantra. For three years, Adityasarma learned to perform the Sulochana mantra from Vishnu Gupta. After that when Adityasarma had mastered the mantra and its procedure, Adityasarma thanked Vishnu Gupta, for his guidance.
After that, Adityasarma steadily followed the procedure and he succeeded in attracting the yakshini Sulochana.
Sulochana emerged from the fires and she was very happy when she saw Adityasarma. She wanted to live with Adityasarma.
The two of them together had a son Gunasarma.
After learning the Vedas and Shastras, Gunasarma went to the kingdom of Ujjain. There he was employed by the then king of Ujjain, who was Mahasena. Mahasena's wife was Asokavati.
Like his father, Gunasarma was an expert in many art forms including dance.
The royal couple of Ujjain knew this and they wanted Gunasarma to perform for them.
At first, Gunasarma avoided it. However, the royal couple insisted and finally Gunasarma agreed to it.
The dance performance was so perfect that queen Asokavati was charmed with it and she was also attracted to Gunasarma.
