The White Cat - Part Two

Twelve Hands with no body came towards the prince. Each of the Hands held a torch to light the way of the prince inside the castle.

The Hands and the torches led the prince to each room of the castle and each of the room was grander than the previous room.

There was a warm fire in one of the rooms and the Hands led the prince before it.

The prince was even given perfumed water to wash himself.

The Hands offered different and clean clothes to the prince instead of his rain-drenched dirty clothes.

After that, the prince was led to a table with plenty of food. There were plates set for two people and the prince wondered who the other was to eat with him.

The prince sat on one side of the table and wondered who was to join him.

The prince looked up and saw a small veiled figure no more than a foot long coming towards him.

The figure was accompanied by a retinue of regale looking cats, which were carrying the veil of the cat.

The figure drew its veil aside and the prince was shocked because there was a sad-looking beautiful white cat inside the veil.
