A hungry lion once wandered about and reached very close to a rich and green pasture. There the lion saw many cows grazing the area. The lion licked its lips and decided to pounce on one of the cows.
The lion was just about to pounce when he was violently pushed to the side.
The lion scrambled and fell back and realized that though the single cow that he had wanted to attack had not seen it, one of the other cows on the other side saw its friend in danger and attacked the lion.
The lion ran to safety wanting to save itself.
The Lion hid itself in one of the bushes and observed the cows and realized that the cows were very close to each other. That was the reason that the cows could foil any attack - when one cow was in trouble the other cows came to save it.
The lion no doubt was very strong but it realized that it could not attack the cows of this pasture as long as each one of them protected the other.
Together the cows were a powerful enemy and not easy to bring down.
